- STORY
Fishy Productions first produced Donald Margulies’ Pulitzer Prize winning play with the Darlinghurst Theatre. After a sell-out season the Darlinghurst Theatre Co invited Fishy Productions back for a second successful season.
Dinner with Friends follows the lives of two married couples who have been friends for years. Karen and Gabe are food journalists who seem to have the perfect life and marriage. When Beth tells them her husband Tom is leaving her for another woman their relationships are fundamentally changed forever. Karen and Gabe struggle to find a ways to stay friends with Tom and Beth while they question the foundation of their own marriage. Full of humour and depth, the play examines modern relationships. As one couple take the seemingly easy decision to divorce, the other couple clings to their marriage as a source of strength.
